With an array of restaurants in Rotorua, Eat Streat has vibrancy and live music and a varied selection of restaurants to choose from. Most popular are Atticus Finch, CBK, Wild Rice Thai Restaurant and Indian Star.

For affordable restaurants, not located in Eat Streat, you can’t go wrong when visiting Ali Baba Middle Eastern Restaurant, El Mexicano Zapata, Gengy’s and Vietnamese Kitchen. The Pig & Whistle offers live music and large, hearty meals and the Fat Dog and Fainting Goat also offer affordable comfort food.

Capers never disappoints and, for a fine dining experience, try Peppers on the Point or Matai Restaurant in the Regal Palms Hotel on Fenton Street.

If you are willing to drive a little further, about 20 minutes from Rotorua centre, try The Landing with spectacular views of Lake Tarawera or the quaint, boutique Trading Post Restaurant in Paengaroa, a 45-minute drive from Blossom Cottage, and well worth a visit if you enjoy bistro-style food, prepared by a very talented French chef.
